Blazak and Block battle in Burien

Welcome

We achieved a great deal in Burien during my tenure as Deputy Mayor, City Councilmember, and Park Commissioner. Projects like Town Square, a new library, a family-friendly skate park new retail and professional office space and the new transit center have brought new life, new jobs and new investment into our historic downtown core. Our local businesses are thriving. But the current city council lacks the leadership to see projects through to fruition, and important city projects are stalled because of a lack of vision and commitment to move forward.

With your help, I will return to Burien’s City Council to build a new service center for non-profits, including a new food bank for our senior and needy citizens, enhance early childhood education programs, create new parks and restore more shorelines. I want to protect our rich local history and, at the same time, build a better Burien for the future. We all came here for a reason – we can appreciate what Burien is, and at the same time we can see what a wonderful community our town can yet become. Let’s get there together.
